My story
Since the mid noughties Ian has developed an eye for a good picture, typical genres include commerical, music, weddings, landscape, travel and wildlife. He has worked with professional photographers Shirley Nicklin and Darren Hector on wedding and wildlife shoots, and also worked solo on a group portrait shoot and weddings.
In addition, he has shot studio band practice sessions, live gigs, and has also worked on commercial product and portrait photography for a beauty salon in Surrey. This commerical work has been published in a number of high profile media formats including elleuk.com, The Kingston Guardian, The Metro newspaper and Surrey Life magazine.
Ian has also acted as in-house photographer for a product launch endorsed by model and radio host for 95.8 CapitalFM's breakfast show Lisa Snowdon.
His landscape work was displayed at a Photographic Club Exhibition in 2005 and he was honoured with the 'www.picture.com Editors Choice Award' for 2007 for the picture ‘Salty, Arnham Land' which can be seen in the Wildlife section of his portfolio. This picture has also been published as hardcopy in a photography anthology series, entitled "Endless Journeys".
“Celestial bodies appear as the urban distraction crumbles, moments of clarity evoke and forgotten memories rumble, frames of mind we seek and find, the push of a button, a moment in time...“
